We should be paper ready in may and we are hoping to get a May or June referal and then I will go down to Foster in Antigue.

What do I need to BUY, PACK and How in the world will I fit it all in suitcases? I tried to search for this subject in past posts but could not find anything.

There is a huge consignment sell in our area soon and I want to be able to buy things I am going to need while in Guatemala.

I can't help you with the packing for fostering, but I hit some consignment sales today, Saturday was half off!

We are not yet paper ready, but the shopping for little things keeps me going and I figure whatever ends up not fitting, we will send back to the Foster Mother for subsequent children placed with her later on.

That's great that you're able to foster -- I hope you get your referral soon!

That said, presumably people have babies in Guatemala and don't need to have everything shipped from the States to raise them. Look at it this way -- if you didn't foster all your child's things would have come from there. I'd focus on medicines you can't easily obtain in Guatemala -- one of the very well known international adoption peds maintains a website that lists meds required for travel and such, you could check there. I know we're not allowed to post site names, but she was Angelina's adoption ped, you should be able to google her from that.
