Question Ink pen on white leather

About 5 days ago my daughter bought Kiran some white leather tennis shoes. She was so proud of her purchase and Kiran has been equally proud, insisting on sleeping with his "sissy's shoes" every night since. Surely by now you know there is a punch line.

Last night Kiran got hold of an ink pen and drew on his new shoes. Does anyone know what will either remove or reduce the appearance of a krabby patty with cheese in ball point pen on white leather?

This is being x-posted for Kiran's sake. Sis doesn't know yet.

Take murphy oil soap and mix it with a little water and a little clorox. scrub the sneaker with a toothbrush using this mixture. It should come out. Good luck

Magic sponge works wonders on removing stains from white tennis shoes.

We tried hairspray and the magic eraser. Neither worked. I will give the murphy's oil and clorox mixture a whirl and if that doesn't work we will move on to alcohol! Thanks for the suggestions.

Hairspray would have been my suggestion, too (it's the alcohol that gets ink out usually). Too bad it didn't work!

I cringed when I read your subject line!

Try Nail polish remover w/acetone? I know that's what crooks use to alter handwritten checks.

Disclaimer: I have no personal experience with altering handwritten checks.

If nothing works, try calling the shoe manufacturer. They've probably run into this many times before.

Guess what. My daughter busted him last night and he shamefully explained that he was drawing a krabby patty with cheese for bubble buddy (spongebob's imaginary friend made out of bubbles). You could see in his face that the thought it was a logical reason. Anyhoo,...his sister just laughed and reminded us that she works at footlocker and they have something that will take it right off. *whew* Yeah, we knew where she worked but were anticipating her to be upset and didn't want her to know until this was corrected. I will post the name of the krabby patty remover when she brings it home from work today. All is well that ends well!

Thanks for all the great suggestions.
