OT- Toyota Sequoia & a growing family
Hi
I am getting ready to trade in my Jeep and my #1 pick for a new vehicle is the Toyota Sequoia mainly for the room. My jeep only seats 5 and with 2 kids into sports and their friends and a car seat....the Jeep just doesn't work anymore. I am interested to see if any of you with the Toyota love it or not. I do not know anyone personally that has one so I am looking for feedback here. Thank you!! Lisa

I was unable to sit comfortably on the center back seat on the last row. I also could not install a car seat in that slot. Also some of the "extra" seats had lack of head support or seat belt was inadequate, lap belt only. This is about 1 1/2 yrs ago so maybe some of those issues are addressed by now. The last bench is limited on leg space. It has less grocery space then the Toyota Sienna. These are some of the points that made me pass it up. Because of how your family is maybe these points will not be a concern. I think it is a great vehicle and loved test driving it. anna

I love my Sequoia!! We have a 2005 SR5 version. One trip we had 2 car seats, a booster and 4 adults - all traveled comfortably. I have installed John's car seat in the last row without problem. The storage space is limited if you have all the seats in - so if we are going far and have a lot of luggage we take at least one of the back seats out.

I do not know if you are open to another vehicle or not, but I love my Chevy Suburban (I have owned three). We have had many vehicles with a third row seat (vans and a Rendezvous) and this is by far my favorite. It has a lot more room for storage in the back. We went on vacation with 3 in car seats and had plenty of room for all the luggage and a wagon.
