Rhomba and Scooba Lovers

Gang,

My Scooba came today and is charging as I speak. Unfortunately, only a small container of cleaner came with it and the shipment of cleaner that I ordered has not arrived yet.

I will give you the report on whether or not it is worth buying after I use it. If it works it will be the best investment in cleaning products that I can think of

To the person who brought this topic up on the forum THANKS as I had never heard of it

So does it just move around. What about the area rugs does it go around them? My entire house is tile except Damian's room. I would love one of these things if it works well. Does it vacume up the stuff too and go around the area rugs?

If you go to the site that sells it there is a video that you can watch. The only diff. I am seeing is that it does leave the water on the floor (doesn't do that in the video) and then it goes back over it and cleans it up. When it bumped up against my area rug it got stuck so I picked them up. It does not go in to the carpeted rooms or up the steps as it has a sensor that keeps it from doing that. It is doing well going under the table and chairs.

Kesti-- keep the scooba updates up. I am very curious as I live my Roomba.

For others who wnat roomba info there was a thread a few days ago that us Roomba owners posted our thoughts and opinions, so search for that. In short I love mine and some tugs it will clean and others it gets hung up on. We only have small floor rugs on our hardwood that we take up every night.

My husband just came home and loves it lol

I had to run it twice because it is a very large area. The only issue is that you have to take a towel or something to dry up the areas that it misses which basically constitutes the width of the unit.

Kesti-

I hope that you do not mind me popping in! Can you use it on hardwood floors?

Ms. Pez,

Yes it can be used on hardwood floors but I don't have any to try it on. It says they have to be hardwood not the Pergo floors.

I've got to add one more comment, with a toddler, a pre-schooler, and teaching five courses at the University that I am a Professor at, this is a great time saver. Our floor is shining. I do wish the battery had lasted longer BUT I may not have charged it long enough and maybe that is why I had to charge it after using it two times. Will keep you posted on the battery life.

Heart

I have the Rhomba and I LOVE IT. We have a yellow lab that sheds year rounds. My son is just starting to crawl and he is the dog hair picker upper. With the rhomba I leave in the morning and turn it on. It docks itself when it is finished. When we come home at the end of the day the dog hair is gone in the area my son mostly plays and crawls in. Plus my son loves to try and chase after it too.

Theresa

I have a housekeeper named Theresa that does both for me and I love her!!! She even does my laundry and changes my sheets and ................ folds my underwear while making mac and cheese for the kids and singing silly songs.
