Tax (not adoption credit) can you claim - maybe CA question
We brought our little boy home in September 2005. We readopted him in CA in February 2006. Can we claim him on our taxes (not adoption credit) but child credit for 2005. We live in CA. Any advice would be great.

Hi Miranda, we live in CA as well. We also brought home our daughter in Sept. of 2005, and are re-adopting on Monday. All you need is a SSN to get your son on your 2005 taxes.
