What joy you must feel each day as you look at him and realize her is here to stay. You have a tremendous story to tell you children one day. As difficult as it was to go through, I know that without a doubt you would say it was worth it for your baby. That fact alone is a tremendous testimony to your commitment as a parent and will give your kids a lot of security in who they are in your sight.

I'm so glad that you've shared this awful ordeal...we all need to know about the possibility of these kinds of things happening.

But I'm even gladder that both of your Guatemalan angels are home with you. Honestly, we were so worried about Christopher when your plea for prayers came out, but I would have been absolutely distraught if I'd known that he was missing for a month. I just remember that sweet tiny little baby during our visit...thank goodness you had the strength to stick with it and get him home.

The US Embassy should ban that facilitator!!!!

Wow, thanks for sharing. I know from having a nightmare adoption (2nd one) myself that you'd rather just forget about it once your child is home. And we didn't go through nearly as much trauma as you did!

As for those babies, I bet it is so wonderful to sneak into their rooms at night at watch them sleep. They really are home forever - a dream come true! I am so happy that you can finally begin the 'and they live happily ever after' part of the story!

Thank you for sharing your story! We endured a horrible ordeal with our agency and facilitator too! It all came to a head when we were down on our pick up trip. One day, I will post our story, so that others will steer clear of my facilitator and agency.

Just want to say thanks for all of your encouragement- I feel relief just being finally able to tell this story- I do plan to write the US embassy- just are not sure they will do anything as I know other folks that have tried this route- For anyone else who tried to PM me for my agency/facilitator name- I have cleared my inbox.

I do look at my four precious children and thank God for them everyday. I give special thanks to God for bringing Christopher home as I really had moments of doubt at times during the ordeal. He has endured incredible stress in his short life. I guess we were just meant to be his family.
