How strange.. I re-read her message several times and I still don't understand what she is talking about.. Is she saying that she saw a child that looks just like your daughter??? No clue.. She's truly nutty. Myrna

It sounds like she thought a child on an agency website was Kate, my lost referral, and that she tried to email me about it. I checked my emails and didn't find any from her, thank goodness. And the little girl on the website looks nothing like Kate, so maybe she was just trying to stir things up, which I guess is her M.O. anyway.

She has a hearing impairment and sometimes posts to boards having to do with hearing impairments also. She tried to adopt a child from India but never made it through the home study process. She has written numerous complaints to various consumer advocates and state Attorney Generals etc.
I think she has serious mental problems, and I would not be surprised in the least to learn that she was abused as a child by an uncle who "tickled" her. She has written some pretty bizarre posts about "tickle therapy" for deafness. The scariest thought is that she might actually manage to get through a home study and be able to adopt or foster a child, when she is truly unstable. Sometimes she disappears for a while, and it really does seem like she must have gone off her med's when she reappears. Some of her strange speech patterns probably relate to her hearing deficits.

Never mind...just found it. Interesting reading. I have to say I have never heard much about this person before. She claims to have adopted children from Guatemala, Mexico and Ukraine and seems to have been trying to adopt 3 special needs children from China. Oh and also has an 8 bedroom house in Antigua. Hmmm, interesting. I was just curious what all the fuss was about. Now I know!

It's quite something what she has spread around on the internet. I guess she must still think that no one will "notice" the inconsistencies and unbelievable nature of her story. Glad to see this thread bumped up for those who have not read about her before...

Upsetting on several levels
I am going to post a link to this thread on the China forum since this person frequently refers to the SN children from China she is trying to adopt. That's all we need is for her to show up on the China forums with supposed condos for rent on the Pearl River.
 Dian, that had to have been a shock to see your name, user name, and lost referral's name. I find it very disconcerting that someone like this is studying certain children's photos so obsessively. It was very upsetting to me when I visited the facilitator's website that she referenced on that Fertile Thoughts post, as it turned out that the child we were planning to adopt in the fall is back on the photolisting. My husband believes her photo is put there periodically to drawn in inquiries for this person's service. But I digress... Facilitators Gone Mad is another topic altogether.
