There are reports from at least one member of Juliana calling their agency and making accusations against them - because this person didn't believe what Juliana was posting and complained as much.

She has also made accusations against other members claiming that they've adopted their child from the state, rather than Guatemala as they claim.

She claims to be an expert on all facets of adoption from almost every country currently doing adoptions - she's got anywhere for 4-10 adopted special needs/older children with varying "issues" which allows her to "know all" - those who have talked to her on the phone indicate that they've never heard a child in the background and that she is vague and non-commital when discussing her children.

She claims to work for DCFS in California as well.

She posts on Guatemala, China, India and Russian adoptions most...

She offers the use of a house she or a friend (depending on when you talk to her) owns in Antigua.

She offers $500,000 in grants/loans for adoptions - both to agencies and couples adopting.

She has posted in the past about "cheap" airline fares to Guatemala.

Her "game" is more emotional than anything - I warn ALL new members to verse yourself in her scam's and be aware of what she claims to be able to do - there is nothing more devistating than going thru the emotional process of adoption, only to arive in Guatemala with no place to stay.

Again, if it sounds to good to be true...it usually is.

I remember her posting her alot in 2003. I don't even know if anyone even knew she wasnt for real then...she said she had two children at that time...she contacted me once about some grant money...she has to have some mental problems...to play with peoples emotions like she does...I didnt know back then that she was an intruder...but then I dont know if anyone did! So glad there are warnings against her now....Beth

She also just offered Focus on Adoption $500,000 since she just got a huge injury settlement. Amazing thing is that she sent her phone number. I was half tempted to call....

This is a good example of her/his writing... lots of capitalized words in inappropriate places in the sentence. A friend spoke to "Julianna" on the phone once (don't ask!) and she said her manner of speaking suggested that English may not be her first language.

I know my agency was contacted last fall with the half million dollar grant "offer"... she even offered to meet someone from the agency at a hotel in their city to give them the money in cash! Crazy...

Okay, so this thread got me to wondering (and I am trying to procrastinate work today):

Found some intersting internet factoids about this lady. She does seem to exist and live in California. She claims to work in "childrens services." She is actively posting on an older child adoption board.

1. She is referenced in this article (you can search for her name if you don't want to read the entire article)

2. She gave this information on an internet guestbook post to a family whose daughter was abducted and killed:

3. It does seem she has made donations in the past (in the form of popcorn and iced tea, not $500,000.00)

4. I won't post all the links here, but she does seem to have (or have had in the past) some connection to child care or child services and was appointed to a government planning councel. She seems also to be a member of some non profit organizations.

So my guess is that she

1. Used to live a normal life but went off her meds and is now a bit loopy; or

2. Isn't really the real Julianna but is using her identity.

Okay, that's enough of my sleuthing for today. Anyone else have any thoughts/theories -- Brandy?

DON'T CALL. I can vouch for the fact that she is a real person with real issues. She WILL stalk you if given the opportunity and has gone so far as to report good agencies to the BBB in their state making false claims and accusations.

She is a real person, she is emotionally disturbed, and she WILL NOT leave you alone if you engage her.

I still get emails from this loon.

My suspicion is that she shares a name with her mother. I can't confirm this, but we've spoken with "a" Julianna and unless she's a total sociopath (possible) she seems normal on the phone. She sits on the childcare council of Placer County CA (or used to) and I can't imagine her doing so with what I have seen of her online.

I think the two are related and the mother is the "normal" one that you see links on.

It took a restraining order to get her to stop emailing me constantly, and I still get the occasional email. Please do NOT engage this woman.
