We are heading to Guatemala for our first time and I was looking at Delta's website for what you can bring in checked baggage, etc. It says you can't bring bleach...cleaning solvents, etc. We would really like to bring a small case of the lysol or clorox wipes to wipe down things when we get to the hotel room. Has anyone brought these down, in baggage or carryon? Was there a problem? Also, what about dish soap for cleaning bottles, since that is a household cleaning solvent also. Thanks!

I brought them, and instead of dish washing detergent I brought those little pads that have the detergent in them and when you wet them it releases the soap - they are so much better than bringing liquid soap which can spill.

Delta means a bottle of bleach. They don't want it to start leaking and mix with other chemicals and form toxic fumes.

We took Clorox wipes for our visit trip. They were in our checked baggage, and we didn't have any problems. We took dish soap for our visit trip, but I plan to take those Dawn Wash & Toss cloths for our pick-up trip.

We took Clorox/Lysol wipes. I put a dozen or so in a ziploc bag instead of taking the whole canister.

I took a pack of Wet Ones wipes in my carryon and it was not problem. Not sure if they contain bleach, but I'd say the Clorox ones wouldn't be a problem either.
