Are siblings allowed at the embassy appointment?
We are bringing our 7 year old daughter with us, and I was wondering if other children were allowed at the appointment! I can't imagine that this would be a problem?!
Thanks, Sabra

I kind of have a similar question. If my husband can't go on the pick-up trip, my dad will probably go with me. Would it be a problem for him to go to the Embassy appointment?

Thanks for the information everyone! We just entered FC and got DNA authorization, so we are far from this point but I had the same questions about siblings going to the Embassy...

I had my 10 year old daughter with me... This is how the Embassy appt goes... You get to the Embassy (we had an early appointment so we waited for the Embassy to open. Not sure this is how it works during the day) and are assigned a number outside. After we received our number, our agency took us to get Bryce's pic taken for Visa a few doors down..(this may vary from agency to agency too). We went back to the line outside and our number was called. We went in through metal dectectors into the waiting area part. There are about 3 or 4 windows and a door.. Our agency rep went to the window when our number was called. We just sat and waited in the seats. Then, she was called again to make payment at the end window. It is true that your money cannot have the slightest tear or rip ~ they rejected one of our $50 bills because a tiny tiny corner was ripped off.. Fortunately, I had another, but she had to get back into line again. Then you wait until they call your name and tell you to go to Door 8 (? I think that's the number). It's a tiny tiny room ~ my daughter even went in there with me.. They asked for the POA for my husband since he wasn't there. Stamped the papers and said goodbye... You then wait in the chairs some more and they call you up to one of the other windows... They have you swear to something.. (this is terrible, it's only been a month and I forget what the sworn statement is!) They tell you to come back the next day and pick up the baby's VISA after 3:30..... That all takes appx. 3 hours... whew! Long way to answer your question!

Thanks Marcy for sharing your embassy appt. It is nice to have an idea of what it will all be like.
