We did our taxes on Turbo tax and it seems like it all went well. We have used it for a few years already. We were able to claim the adoption tax credit soince the adoption was final in 2005.

Well I went onto irs.gov to see where our refund was and it says there is a delay. There is a message to call them. What could this mean? Has anyone who claimed the adoption credit have this happen to them? I hate dealing with the IRS.

We had a delay with our first adoption tax credit of like a week. I suppose they just doublechecked it or something but about a week or so later we got the deposit in full. We used TurboTax also.

We also had our taxes flagged. We filed 1/16 and did get the refund 2/3 though, so it only added 3 days to the original 8-15 days they say it will take to get the refund.

My husband did call and they said they usually flag refunds that are for larger amts. Originally they came back telling us we would get our refund 2/28, but like I said it was deposited in our acct 2/3.
