What has the adoption process done to you?

I am not a vain person by any means, but last night I got my hair done, and the stylist made a comment about all of my gray hair . Come on, I will only be 26 next month!

LOL-26 is the age I started to go gray, thanks to Dennis.

I didn't have to start dyeing until 28, though.

The process itself made me gain weight, grow some new wrinkles, gave me problems with my lungs that have magically disappeared since we've finished, and given me anxiety and depression, which also vanished.

As for the wrinkles, gray hair, and weight gain, while the process did it to me, having my children home has made me not care about all of that, which is the best present of all.

Okay, maybe I care a little about the weight, and I'm still dyeing.....

Smile Just remember you asked

Lets see......I am a compulsive email and forum checker , and I'm probably not too much fun to be around right now from the stress ( I never used to take everything so seriously or personally before). It will all be worth it in the end....I would just like to be there already. It one of those things where people say you will look back on it and laugh.......it's not funny yet .

Although I "thought" I would always adopt, I did, 3x. It has made me greatful in ways I am not sure I can even express. I am happier then I have ever been, tired, grey and dyeing too, only regret? Wishing I could it just 1 more time. DH says he has heard that line before Nancy

Age doesn't seem to have too much to do with gray hair as my neighbor has had gray hair since she was 19 and I mean completely gray.

Exactly what Foxl said - serious poundage! Stress sure didn't make me loose weight either proudmommyof 2!

But for those still waiting - it really is worth it. It WILL all be a distant memory some day. Hang in there. (And chocolate does help! )

This adoption process has: increased my blood pressure, stress level, anxiety level, gray hair, decreased my trust in people, and taught me to be a VERY patient person, that if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself, no one cares about your case MORE than you do...

Lost 15 pounds....can't eat, nothing tastes good.

Gray hair started during the "infertility" years, and now they are a huge part of my life.

The adoption process has given me the cleanest house I have ever had.

It has made me appreciate what's about to come - because I know it will be worth every tear that I have cried.
