Help! Catalina refuses to wear clothes!
Does anyone else have this problem. I thought I would at least have a couple more months before she would start fighting me on getting dressed, but nope she has started! She refuses and I mean REFUSES to wear any form of clothing. Sometimes she even fights me on wearing a diaper. I spend half my day trying to get her dressed and the other half trying to keep her clothes on!.
Any ideas on how to keep her dressed? Carla

Have you tried onesies, with the snap-crotch? That worked for my daughter for awhile.
My daughter does NOT keep clothes on at all, except at church and in public. At home she whips them off so fast, then if laundry is sitting out she'll put on her siblings shirts for awhile. Sorry, I'm not much help. We live in AZ and our house is so HOT all the time (no a/c) which is convenient for her flaunting her natural look. Shoes seem to help a little too, or at least delay the undressing process. ![]() good luck!

Carla I laughed when I read your post. My Emma is a bit bigger than your daughter but she is moving into the naked phase. I am learning to pick my battles. If we are home and nothing is going on and she wants to have no clothes on for me there is no harm so I let her run naked. Funny story my niece who went through this phase at 3. My husband took her bowling one night for an Uncle/Niece night out. She spent most of her young life being raised by us and adores her Uncle Matt. Anyways he was driving her home to her house and she started fussing. Matt asked what was wrong and she said she was stuck. He turned the light on and she had taken her pants off and she was trying to get her shirt off but because of the car seat etc she was stuck in her shirt over her head with her arms caught. My husband nearly had a heart attack thinking my sister was going to think terrible things of him. Well he pulled over got her redressed and when he dropped her off my sister asked Rayne why her shirt was on inside out and backwards. Matt explained and Rayne looked at her mommy and said "I was just tired of wearing clothes mommy but Uncle Matt maaaaddddeee me wear them. I don't like him tonight." My sister said she could hardly hold it together. Hang in there this too shall pass but for us when Emma wakes up if she has somehow managed to sleep all night without getting out of her jammies we let her take them off until after breakfast as well as after dinner before bath time. This has decreased the streaking that was occuring when we were fighting it. Clothes can be restricting for little ones so maybe altering her wardrobe to find less restrictive clothes. Onsies are great as well as simple cotton dresses.

Can she actually get them off already once they are on? My best friend went through this with her daughter taking everything off in her crib at night incl. the diaper well before she was toilet trained...yikes. She finally resorted to onepiece long underwear type pajamas that zip up and put them on backwards so the zipper was in the back. That foiled her, much to her dismay, and the diaper stayed on all night!
Catalina is awfully cute by the way!!!

I just had to stop in and tell you how beautiful that child is! My son hates clothes too. And, I love him naked! So, it works out just fine. He will keep shoes on sometimes if it means he gets to go out, so every now and again i let him go out with just the shoes on... what the heck? You're only a kid once... She is very very pretty. Congratulations! and I love her name!

Izabella will soon be 3. We don't wear socks unless we have to go outside. Once inside the car...welll socks and shoes back on at every stop. Makes shopping delightful. Clothes...leggings work the best for her, whether it is less fabric I don't know. During the day if we are at home, usually just a diaper or pullup as we are attempting to train. Take them off too you bet. Nighttime...usually find a nake girl soaking wet bed in the morning but unless I duck taped them on...I didn't find anything that worked. Snaps zippers piece of cake. So this winter conserving fuel? I have a half naked child 90%of the time who is now teaching her sister that life in the fast lane is fun fun fun. I have one fun picture that I am saving as blackmail as it is Izzy in a pj top, diaper, pink splash boots and playing. Yup, like I said Blackmail. Nancy PS if you find something that works please share with me

Just let her be with just a diaper at home. That's the way my kids have always been, I dress them for outside only (I'm talking babies/toddlers not older children). The've always hated diaper changes so when they took of their diapers I started putting them backwards (tape on the back)

Awww, she sure is cute
Clothes or no clothes, Catalina sure is cute!
This was a deja vu for me. At 18 mos my daughter continuously pulled off her clothes and diaper. We just gave up on the clothes while at home, but the diaper was an issue. My husband finally took a role of duct tape and made a band around the top of the diaper, so she couldn't get it off. I wish I had a scanner, I'd post the photo. She's 13 now and fully clothed at all times! Rachael

She's so cute!!
That is too funny. I needed the laugh. For some reason a lot of kids go through the "nudist stage". Don't know why. One of my sisters and a couple of my nieces did it too. Maybe they are just particularly warm blooded
. I'm sure she'll outgrow it. Is she too little for Pullups ( I honestly don't know much about them - they didn't have them when Christopher was a baby). Maybe she would think that was cool (big girl panties kind of thing).Michelle

I used to babysit a little one that had that "problem". Her mom used to put her clothes on backwards too...even the diaper to discourage her from taking them off. it worked...
