Sitting Waiting For Our Flight!!!
Well, we are officially sitting at the Chicago O'Hare International terminal waiting to board our flight for the 1894 mile trip to Guatemala City to visit our baby girl! YAY! Our should we say...Oh my God we are nervous!!! LOL

07/15/05 - Homestudy began 08/02/05 - Signed with agency 09/13/05 - Homestudy completed 11/10/05 - Dossier completed 12/14/05 - Baby girl born!! 12/22/05 - Referral Accepted 12/28/05 - 171H Done 01/27/06 - DNA results matched! 02/06/06 - Entered FC 02/10/06 - FC Interview Complete! 2/11-2/15/06- In GUA on Visit Trip! 02/21/06 - Preapproval! 3/20/06 Submitted to PGN! 3/31/06 - OUT!!  4/3/06 - Waiting on correction on final decree  5/8/06 - All corrections done. Waiting on bc!!! 5/18/06 - BC obtained!!! FINALLY!!!!! 5/18/06 - Submitted for pink 5/24/06 - PINK  5/28/06 - leaving to get our peanut!!! 5/31/06- Embassy Appointment 6/3/06- Home Forever!

Oh, George....I'm so glad you posted! I read your other post earlier but did not have time to respond...
I can SO FEEL your excitement!! Just remember two things.... ONE....if they are late bringing the baby, DO NOT PANIC!! Guatemalan time is not our time. Really, this is normal. If they are on time, then celebrate! But just prepare for this and you'll handle it better, in case. TWO...and just as importantly...Remember my rule. The "30 Second Rule", as I call it. Savor the moment you are IN....take time...take a break, get quiet, stop moving and talking, for THIRTY SECONDS....it will change everything. When your daughter is placed in your arms, let the clock stop. You will never forget this moment, so let it be more than a 5 second moment. When you wake up and see her there smiling, and lift her up out of the crib...take 30 seconds. Smell her hair, touch her toes, hold her face close to yours and breathe her in..... Life as you know it is about to transform... HOW EXCITING!!!!!!! God speed and keep us posted....send pics too!! Jen Mommy to Addison Grace, home forever 2/6/05
