Hello Everyone! I am brand new to this and SO excited!
So remember the day you and your hubby OFFICIALLY decided that you wanted to adopt a baby from Guatemala? Thats me today! And I can't wait. We are so excited about this and so scared at the same time. We love the agency and we are just beginning ALL the paperwork. We are thrilled though to start this journey...a little nervous about the financial part of this...but nonetheless we know this is the way we are being directed in life. My name is Mindy and my husband, Kris, and I live with our three year old biological son in Ohio. We concieved Alec, our son, with no problem but have struggled with infertility for the past two years.

Waiting on bc!!! 5/18/06 - BC obtained!!! FINALLY!!!!! 5/18/06 - Submitted for pink 5/24/06 - PINK  5/28/06 - leaving to get our peanut!!! 5/31/06- Embassy Appointment 6/3/06- Home Forever!

Hi Mindy
My DH and I have just started the process also. We are working on getting our paperwork together and will have our first homestudy visit on Wed. Nice to meet others who are just starting out also. We know how excited you both are since we too are very excited. We, however, have no children so this will be our first. Welcome again to the boards.

Welcome! This is a great board for support and information ~ not to mention just seeing the gorgeous children and happy families that are joined together through the wonderful gift of adoption. We brought our daughter home last month, and she is a joy every day. How exciting for you to be getting started! May you have a quick smooth journey!

Welcome, and congratulaions on your decision to adopt!!!! We also struggled with secondary infertility. We adopted our son from Guatemala in 2002, and we are now in the process of adopting a little girl. This is a very supportive and informative board. I hope your process is quick.

Welcome...sounds like we have a similar story! My husband and I are also at the beginning...we just had our first homestudy meeting yesterday and it went well. Can't wait to hear more about your story...it will be fun to be on this journey together!!! We also have a bio. son who will be three in March and are hoping for a girl! Amy

 Mindy, Good Luck, Good Welcome and Good Choice!!! DH & I officially decided on Guatemala right after Christmas. We are signed, doing paperchase, did homestudy interviews,etc... And, yep, I am already ordering for the nursery. I feel so happy about this process. Wishing you well in your process too!!!!

Hi Mindy !! We too are just starting out. We are in the beginnings of our paper chase. We have 2 beautiful bios. My son is 7 and my daughter 4. We also conceived both with no problems but have struggled now with secondary infertility for almost 2 years ....so I can relate. Now I think it was Gods plan for us and I cant wait for all the wonderful experiences this journey will bring our family
