Red face Counting Down! Yipee! Yikes!

Actually, I wish that I could count down. We had an appointment last Thurs. with our agency to make sure that we had all of our documents ready and we were clear on what was to happen after we get Pink. During our meeting, I asked how we would find out that the GC BC had been issued. (I had been counting on that for my "two minute warning" so to speak). Anyway, we were told that we probably wouldn't hear about the BC, but just find out when we have pink. We were told that we should be traveling in 2-3 weeks. I am so excited, but at the same time, I am so stressed about getting everything done in time to leave. To top it all off, yesterday my principal told me that the woman we had lined up to be my board sub has to have surgery and she won't be able to do it. I am running around like a mad woman. I haven't even hardly had time to get on the computer (I know that I need to go ahead and get used to that).
Anyway, enough of my rambling. Has anyone else not heard when they got BC? I feel like we get so little updates. We haven't received any medicals since our referral. How often does this occur?

Awwe....slow down a little, relax and enjoy this moment! You're out of PGN! That's incredible! Look how far you've come! and look what awaits you right around the corner!

As for the medical updates....I've heard it's often the lawyers and not the agency's who don't get those updates out! Apparently we have good lawyers...we've had our referral since 11/23 and we've gotten 3 medical updates so far!

Best of luck to you!

Yeah!!!

We got 2 medical updates on each of our two children between referral and pick-up. We did NOT get word when the GCBC was issued. However, check the pink list and see where your dates compare with others who do get word. That will give you a best guess.

In the meantime...CHOCOLATE!

What an exciting/ stressful/ anxiety ridden/ happy time!

We also did not hear when we got the GCBC, but our son's foster mom emailed us to let us know she was taking him for his passport photo, so we surmised that they'd already obtained the GCBC.

We wished for more medical updates but at least we got some. It's the pits that you haven't received any at all! But, the great news is that soon you'll be taking your
daughter yourselves for her checkups - yay!!!
