Hi-

Do any family court waiters have an update they want to share? I remember there were a lot of us in Family Court hoping to get out soon.

We got an update that the interview took place and they will hopefully have the report in 2-3 weeks.

Anyone else have any news to share? Good luck to you all and hope we all get out soon.

Not much different than you. We had the SW interview and are now waiting to exit also. Hopefully we will hear something very soon and everyone else too!

Hi all - We are waiting to hear that we have entered FC. So I hope you all get OUT and move through PGN quickly so that the desks are clear in FC for our file

We've been in FC since the middle of October. Our social worker didn't tell us until Jan 6th that her computer crashed and that she lost all the information from the interview she had with the birthmother on October 27th!!! Three months later, on Jan 23rd, we finally got another interview. Now we're just waiting on pins and needles for the report. We've had pre-approval since November, so we're hoping we'll be in and out of PGN soon.

We're planning on going to GT to be our baby girl's foster parents until the adoption is final... Do any of you know anyone else who has done this? We're starting to have second thoughts because we don't want to be stuck down there for months and months... It's hard because we fell like we're missing her life. We've been trying to start a family for the past 4 years, so all of this just feels like a cruel joke.

I found out this morning (1/27) that the SW interview took place on 1/24. Our agency gave us the go-ahead to make visit arrangements, so we're planning to meet our beautiful little girl the last weekend of February.

So now we wait to find out when we exit FC and go into PGN!

We found out that we exited FC on 1/16 and entered PGN on 1/17. Of course, we didn't find this out until this week!

Still nothing.. we also went in Oct and interview was finally done on 1/13.Hopefully we will here something soon.

I'm still waiting for news. My adoption agency says they feel sure I'll be out of family court by the end of next week, but that anything can happen. I'm still waiting...

Everyone take a deep breath. We can't maintain this level of hyperanxiety all the time. It will happen when it happens.

I thought I'd share about my week, its been draining.

We thought we lost our little girl, our referral. We had been asking the agency why since the end of Nov there was not an interview scheduled.

They told us Weds that the birthmother did not show up for an interview before, and was late to the one on Weds. We found this out Weds when the interview was to take place. Until then we thought none had been scheduled.

Well our agency said the birthmother was acting funny and also expressed that she may want to parent her child. So our agency said she was in a meeting right then with the social worker to discuss.

We were sooo sad and shocked. Didn't know what to hope for. Of course we wouldn't wish her mom to not want to take care of her. But we love her too, so it would be hard to let go. I know that would be best for her, so we just had to wait and see what happened. Weds night was pure Heck! I cried a river. I have never seen my husband so sad as well.

Yesterday we found out all is well. I don't really understand fully what changed so much in a day but they said the birthmother talked with the social worker and was fine with the adoption. The birthmother expressed she could not take care of the baby, so the social worker will write the report as so, that she wants to go on with the adoption.

I was shocked that it was resolved so quickly. I thought perhaps they would want another interview with her, to make sure this is what she really wants. But our agency said the social worker feels everything is fine and will have the report written in 2-3 weeks. Our agency said there is still a risk until the final sign-off after PGN but we will just go forward and hope for the best. (whether it be for our daughter to come home to us or stay with her birthmom.

My heart breaks for the birthmom. It must be a very hard decision.

We don't get information about the fostermom or the birthmom but the basics, so I just have to hope she knows how much we love her baby already and will take good care of her.

Just thought I'd share what we've been through. I think its going to be a roller-coaster ride until we exit PGN and see if she does the final sign-off.

I'm scared!

We have already been in the adoption process for 2 years now. This summer our country closed, and we switched countries and agencies. We had to do a new homestudy and re-new our fingerprints for the I-171H. Our I-171H expires this summer, I hope and pray we don't have to start over again. We can't afford it financially and emotionally!

awaiting word from our agency. were supposed to exit FC approx LAST friday.

we've had PA since 12/14 and so FC is holding us up from the way i see it....

hoping/praying for good news next week!

maybe this means we will sail through PGN!

can't blame a gal for trying!

i know some have it much worse and i do pray for all of us...
