Tax Credit Money In Your Pocket
To all of you that have done the tax credit, my question on the tax credit is do you actually get money in your pocket from it or is it just a credit to you each year when you fill out your taxes until the $10,300 runs out? I was hoping to walk away with some money from this credit. I usually get a refund at the end of the year for about $50 big Whoop!!!!

It depends on how much you pay in taxes. If you make $30,000 a year and you only typically pay $2000 in taxes a year (and it sounds like you overpay by about $50), then you will only get $2050 back. They are not 'giving' you money...they are simply reducing the amount of tax you have to pay the government based on your earnings for the year.
For lots of people...that is like getting a $10,000 bonus that first year...for others it may be $2000 a year for 5 straight years until the credit runs out.
