The agency that I used has received the referral of a 7 year old girl, named. Gabriella Edited. They have just been informed that Gabriella's twin sister was adopted at birth, and it is the agency's wish to try to find the adopted sister, if at all possible, so they can reunite the 2 girls. The birthdate is in January . The birth mother's name is Odilia Edited The father's name is Jorge Edited If you adopted a girl who is now 7 years old and you think this might be your child's sibling, or you know someone who did, please email me and I will give you the agency contact info - not sure if I can post that here? There are a couple of photos of this adorable little girl on the agency website that might help someone decide if this is their child's sibling.

You may wish to post this on the yahoo group: GuatemalaAdopt_SiblingRegistry. This group is a database that families who have adopted Guatemalan-born children can use to locate their children's siblings. You have to be a member to post to the group and I believe that to be a member, you must have completed your adoption.

I just registered for the Yahoo Sibling registry group and you have to have completed your adoption to join. You need to provide them with the name of the agency you used, the date your adoption was final, your name and the first name and middle and last initial of the birthmother. It seems like it takes a while for them to get your registered though because I sent them everything on Thursday and they haven't completed my membership yet.

Once you get your child home you can go ahead and sign up. I don't know how successful they are at finding people, but I thought I'd make an effort.

Please remember that a requirement for participating on this forum is that the privacy of the birth family (and adoptive family if you're talking about someone else’s child) MUST be respected.

It is acceptable for you to post first name of a child, it is acceptable that you post the MONTH (and only the month) that the child was born – but beyond that, no additional information is allowed.

These forums are PUBLIC – viewable to any and all who wants to view them. For the protection of the minor child that is not your child as well as the birthparents, we must enforce these rules.

Consider, when posting to these forums, how you would feel if you happened upon your personal information (name, surname, date and place of birth) posted openly for any and all to view…
