I love the lullaby "Baby Mine" on the disney lullaby cd, all the songs on the fisher price cd "caciones de cuna" lullabies in spanish.

I made a dvd and used both spanish and english songs.

The Forrest Gump theme song. We used it for the Power Point slide show of photos of us 'through the years' at our wedding reception and it was perfect.

Although it's instrumental with no lyrics, I think it makes for great background music and isn't something that will feel dated or themed in years to come.

I have used "In my dauther's eyes" (by Martina McBride)for the first visit video while giving her a bath.

I also plan to make a homecoming video with "At Last" by Etta James.

We did a photo slide show and used John Denver Eagle and Hawk (which looked neat when the pictures of us flying over GC) then 2nd song was by Brian Adams and Sarah Mcloughlin Don't Let Go (which was in that movie Spirit. It is such a sweet song and so perfect! You should check out the lyrics if you get a chance. They are a tear jerker EVERY time!) The 3rd song was I'm going to love you forever by Jessica Simpson and finally the 4th song is Pooh Corner. Its a pretty long slide show. I was going to play it at his welcome home party and had a hard time getting it to play with custome MP3s.

I love a song by a Guatemalan missionary called "Tu Eres Un Milagro" (You are a Miracle). I think it's beautiful.

The missionaries are Scott and Gabby Dannemiller of Texas. I had the pleasure of meeting them when they were on a concert tour last fall. (That's what they're doing now that they're home from their mission-- raising money for several causes, including those in Guatemala.) They've got a fantastic web site with lots of pictures and stories from Guatemala. You can also buy the CD on the site (you can preview the songs there too).

Hi there. Linda Ronstadt and James Ingram sing the duet Somewhere Out There. It is a beautiful song towards adoption. I have an adoption cd my older children made me for christmas one year while waiting for our first baby. I listen to it all of the time. Everytime my five year old hears it she says mama thats our song. Makes me cry everytime We also made a video to music which includes: Somewhere Out there, Let them be little, and When love takes you in. I also have heard a song called When God made you he must of been thinking about me. Some play it at weddings but could be used for adoption as well. Good luck. I just know you will find that certain special song for your little one

"I knew I loved You Before I Met You" by Savage Garden. My mom says that's our adoption song. Also, Steven Curtis Chapman sings a lot of songs that have adoption-related lyrics. Amy Grant also has a lot of sweet songs. There is a song Billy Joel wrote for his daughter, I think it's called "Lullaby" - it's such a sweet, parent-to-child song.
