Exclamation PGN PITFALLS and thing to look out for or consider

OK here goes...I am posting this in hopes to help to help those others before theyt have issues. We might not be able to totaly negate PGN issues.

So first off what are the issues that people are getting kicked out of PGN for?

What are the fixes that the folks from PGN are requesting?

I wish to help families help themselfs and save thm some of the problems that we in the form are seeing.

I'll start it off. We got kicked out for a typo. Someone miss spelled my wifes name on a Witness Satement Certificate. One of the fixes that been requested was a new name affidavit. Then next request for the same typo was a new Witness Statement Certificate.

This is not to scare people, but to give us a list of things to look at and double check.

I agree, typos are major issue w/PGN. I think in the name affadavit, to really look through your dossier, letters of reference, etc. and find any variation of your name. In my case, one of my references listed me as "aunt" xxxx to her children. I was so worried since "aunt" xxxx wasn't in my name affadavit, and thought it would get kicked out (discovered the error after it was sent to GC), but luckily it did not---lucked out on that one.

Also, my agency wanted me to include a male role model letter (I'm single) and even an addendum to my medical report to say that I've struggled w/infertility. These weren't required by PGN, but my agency wanted to make sure, just in case.

I think if I had to do it over again, I would read through my dossier ALOUD to another person and have someone else do the same. It's amazing what you can miss just reading to yourself but reading aloud you might catch errors better. I had a big one in my dossier that neither I nor my agency caught

We only got ko'd for not having preapproval, but before we were in PGN, our attorney requested that we have our medical letter redone, because he thought it could possibly get ko'd. Dh and I have the same doc and he did one letter for the both of us. Our attorney requested that the doc do a seperate letter for each of us. We got it done and sent to him quickly and he had it before we went into PGN. Don't know if we would have been ko'd or not, but it was something that he was concerned about.

In my case it was the power of attorney they had put my sons birthday wrong. Other mistakes that I caught before they went to GC was people signing things and crossing them out, my husbands name spelled incoorectly.

I hope this helps someone else!
