How long to wait for CHILD CARE!

We have been home with our baby for two months....LOVING IT! Great Christmas etc. But being entrepreneurs and self employed we are realizing that we need about 12 hours of baby sitter time (the rest we will rotate between DH and self) a week in our home or in our baby sitters home nearby (have to make a living)....QUESTION is....how soon is it okay to leave the baby with someone without being concerned she will have serious anxiety and think we are permanently leaving her. She has stayed in the church nursery for a couple of hours here and there otherwise been with either myself or husband for the entire 2 months. She is very happy and well adjusted....Just wondering...

My husband and I do the same thing and we have a sitter about 10 hours a weeks and then rotate. Mia was with her after 2 weeks of being home, done great and really loves her.

It would probably be less stressfull for her if you have someone come over to the house to watch her..rather than a daycare center..we found the going 'rate' for this type of service is $10 an hour (we had looked into it but never used them)..but you may find a college student or another young person that could come over for a little less than that..

Ana is 2.5 years old and still has extreme sep. anxiety..I ended up co-teaching her sunday school because she wouldn't get off my lap even for 1 hour a week..

I can only be home for 8 weeks (since it is unpaid) and do work fulltime outside of the house....

I wish I didn't have to, but.... maybe one day..

I've had my little guy home for 2 weeks now and I have 6 more PRECIOUS weeks to go with him and he'll be in daycare. We do feel like our bonding is going WONDERFULLY and I think he'll do fine.

My daughter is dropped of at 7am and picked up at 6pm each day because of the 1 hour drive to/from work.

She has been in daycare since August and I don't have any issues. She sees us in the morning and at night and then on the weekends/holidays/vacation time.

She is very stimulated at her daycare and is learning things simply from watching other children do them.

Regards,
Brandy
