PGN wants two witnesses to Birth of Mother from 27 years ago!!!
Our case was on previo the first time because of a rip on the ** BC. We were notified today that our case was on previo again and now PGN wants 2 witnesses to the birth of the mother, from 27 years ago! Then my atty will have to petition PGN for approval to get a new copy of the ** BC, again!! And that part alone will take a month or so. I'm starting to feel like this will never happen and the light at the end of the tunnel is becoming a small flicker. I keep thinking month after month after month that things will get better, but they just get more screwed up. Has anyone else ever heard of anything like this? 2 Witnesses to Birth of Birthmother from 27 years ago???????

No but I am in PGN right now and stuff like this scares me. I hope this is resolved soon and your little one home fast. annaguat

We were told our PGN KO was due to a rip in the birthmother's BC. Our attorney just had to get a new BC. At least that's what we were told but the KO set us back about 3 weeks.
I hope this gets resolved quickly for you.

I am so very sorry that you are going through this. Nothing for us was easy with PGN either. Please PM me if you need to talk, vent, or find encouragement. I hope this is resolved quickly and that you are on your way again very soon!! Ali

Oh I'm so sorry to hear about this...I can't even believe it! Even if they find these two witnesses, how much do they think they will honestly remember from 27 years ago? What are they going to ask them? Sometimes this process seems so unreasonable.
 I will be praying for you that this will be resolved quickly!

my sister in law had a similar problem, but it was on her side, here. she needed two witnesses to sign from her birth 30 odd years ago. but the reason behind this was, she did not have a real birth certificate. they were worried that this would be an unsurmountable problem once they realized her b.c. had actually been issued YEARS after her birth; well, PGN realized it was not a certif. from birth; she was unable to obtain an actual bc from the country she was born in. So, PGN asked for documentation of birth, and signatures, from her baptism, etc from that time. and that worked!!
so, i would imagine there is a problem with the birthmom's birth certifcate, such that they are asking for additional proof that she is who she says she is before they can sign off the baby from her. frustrating, yes, but you'll get there.
