Hello folks,
As many of you know, I have been on this forum for quite a while, and have had my share of setbacks, and delayed timelines. How I made it through I don't know! Well anyway, these last few days are killing me. The birth certificate was submitted to the embassy last Wed or Thurs, and we are expecting pink today. It is killing me to wait to make the travel arrangements. Everyone here at work keeps asking, "Why are you still here? I thought you were leaving." I keep telling everyone, it's "day to day" at this point, and I might not be here tomorrow. How did the others of you deal with the last few days? Gee, seems like waiting for 13 months should have prepared me for the waiting of a few weeks!

Those last days are the KILLER because everybody is excited for you and just wants to know when. They think they are being helpful by asking you how soon, when in reality... you just want to jump on a plane and GO! Hang in there! You've made it through this long, this is the worst part of the wait... those DAYS leading up to bringing home your precious son!

It doesn't! I was the same way, very anxious. I think it's just exacerbated by feeling so close and yet so far because we still don't have any control. I think this part is harder in one sense because you know how it's supposed to go, and the wait is supposed to be 2-3 days, yet after everything else it's hard to believe it will really happen.

There is no help for those final few days of waiting. It won't be long before you get the call and your feet will no longer be touching the ground.

Once you're settled at home, I do hope that you find time to check in and let us know all the details of your trip...........and share some pictures, of course.

Oh- the end is the hardest! But at least you are finally there!!!! I know that it is hard to believe, but as soon as you have him home in your arms that whole process just melts away.
