Is a Visa required to visit/travel to Guatemala
I'm a US Citizen with a US Passport. My husband is a Citizen of Mexico with Permanent US Residency. Does anyone know if we need Visa's to travel for a visit trip. Any and all information would be appreciated, never travelled outside of US before. Thanks so much.

A US citizen does not require a Visa to travel to Guatemala. I don't believe that your husband would require a Visa since he has permanent US status, but I'm not 100% positive.
Anyone know for sure??

You need your US passport, but no visa unless you're planning to stay longer than 90 days! (The State Department has a great website where you can look up other countries to see if US citizens need visas to go to that particular country http://www.travel.state.gov/travel/t...es_1229.html#g). That, of course, doesn't answer about your husband. He needs to follow the requirements for Mexican citizens---doesn't matter what the US says he is, he will be traveling on a Mexican passport. I went to the Guatemalan Embassy's website (http://www.unidosporguate.org/visas.htm) and it appears that he doesn't need a visa either. So----happy travels!

No problem.....I'm an internet "nerd" at times....I really like wandering around the web and finding things----usually totally useless information that nobody wants to know about, so it's nice to be useful for a change!
