Fall Beginners 2005! I got my I 171H!!!!
This is a thread of lots of us who began our adoptions in the fall, and we all are in completly different places!!!
I still can't believe we got our I 171 H on Christmas Eve!!! I am soooo happy!! Now Dna testing can get done!!! It was actually issued on Thursday. What is suppose to happen is the big office gets emailed that we have it, then they email our social worker, and then the sw emails us. I'm not sure why those things didn't happen, I hope to find out today, but none the less, it made it VERY special to come on Christmas Eve!!! Welcome to all the newcomers on here!!! I hope everyone had a terrific Christmas!! We sure did!

We got our Criminal history clearance back on x-mas eve WOOHOO!!! I was so excited seeing how this is our secound time to send it. We FED-X it on monday and got it on Saturday.

Well, We got our fingerprinting dates. And even though they are soooo far away I am hoping GOD is making us wait for that special baby since our agency refuses to give a referal until you have your I171H. So we wait. But about our fingerprinting info, believe it or not, they spelled our last name wrong on our paperwork. I am trying to be patient, but that is so not my strong point. It just better not set us back for their mistake.
Congrats to all those that got good news this holiday season, and here is to hoping that we all have a new little stocking hanging for the next one.

Congrats!!! to Erin in recieving her wonderful Chrismas gift.Prayers being sent Erin for a speedy process.We are still and praying for our state clearences week # 5 coming up.Please pray with us so we can move forward with bring our little girl home.My prayers are with all of you .GOD BLESS

I was hoping to get everything sent out to get certified and authenticated but between work and the Holidays that didn't happen. Tomorrow I will fax the docs I had re-done to the agency for their review and then Wed. I will send them off.
Erin- That is great news. I will update the I171h waiters list and move you to the graduates list. candkss - Congratulations, another step done. little_rich1991 - I hope it's not much longer for you. jen-n-mark, I like the sound of that "a new little stocking hanging for next Christmas." My dh reminded me Christmas morning that this will be the last Christmas I can sleep until 8:00. Hope everyone has a good week and Happy New Year.

Erin - Congrats on the I171H, that's Great.
JEn - Hang in there, you'll have your referral before you know it, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you have your 171H before you know it. Not to much new here, I am amking the copies of all of my seals from the Consulate today and overnighting out Dossier and copies to the agency, today, so woohoo I am excited.

Congrats to everyone making progress! I'm so happy for everyone...
We have nothing to report on our adoption. We are done with the paperwork for our dosier and it is on it's way to our agency (yahoo!). So now we are waiting for our I171h approval, which should be sometime in January or early February (arrgh!!). Of course, I pray daily that we will get our approval sooner, but historically the Philadelphia USCIS office is sloooow... Hope everyone had a great Christmas and I pray that the New Year brings lots of good news.

I am so happy for all of you that the process is moving along!!!! What great Christmas presents!
My hubby also said that this is the last Christmas that we can cleep in  I don't think I will mind getting up early for Santa!!!We also are waiting for the I-171H and are also hoping for January/February to receive it! Happy New Year and keep the good news coming!! Maura.

Candkiss - Congrats on the Criminal REcords clearence hopefully the second time is a charm... Little Rich - you and your little girl are in our prayers for your state clearance and a speedy homecoming. Kathy - I know what you mean about being busy, I barely had chance to put the last of our copies together for our Dossier, hopefully work will slow down for you and you can get your papers out to get C &'d Anne - Sending out lots of Speed Up vibes to the New Philly USICS for you. Maura - we're waiting together, my DH said the same thing about christmas, it was bitterweet. So i overnighted out DOssier to the agency today and now I am just wondering what if anything can happen now.... the Agency said that it can get translated, but don't we have to have DNA to go into Family Court?

Congratulations to everyone's progress and the great news of Erin getting her 171-H and candkss receiving her criminal clearance.
Little Rich I'm hoping this is the week your receive the state clearance that you are waiting on. Bizzie - I am pretty sure you can enter FC without DNA Nothing new on my end. I know my dossier is in Guatemala being translated, and we are waiting for DNA authorization.

Congrats To Erin And Kathy On Your I171h! That Hopefully Means I Am Soon To Get My Mine? Counting The Full Ten.5 Weeks Would Take Me To Mid Feb...let's Hope Newark, Nj Is Moving Quicker Than That! Bizzie- you can enter family court, and get out of family court without dna. However, I believe you need dna and/or I 171h for pre approval....So, its a catch 22. Yes, your case can get started, but the pre approval takes the longest (i think around 45-60 days). So...in my opinion, it doesn't matter if they start family court right away, or wait.
Kerri- Newark is processing I 600a's that when in as of August 14 right now...when did you submitt yours? candkkss- how awesome to get it on Christmas Eve huh?? I am almost glad my agency didn't notify me Thursday...It made for an AWESOME present!! I hope everyone whos waiting to get on the refferal lists gets their i 171-h's soon!!! However, this ensures you will get your child home as young as possible, which isn't a bad thing either! If I hadn't been hoping that Migel would be our refferal, we wouldn't have accepted one until we were completly ready. Its been aweful the last TWO months knowing my little boy is getting older older older, and our case hasn't even started yet.

yaddakal, You may get your I171h a little sooner than you think. Mine came 7 weeks from my prints appt. date. I hope Newark speeds it up for you.
