Riding the Christmas train (pictures)
To get into the Christmas spirit, our family took a weekend trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains. We rode on the Christmas train. It was a two hour ride filled with Christmas Carols and hot chocolate. Halfway into the ride, SANTA CLAUS got on the train and met with all of the children. Both of our boys loved it.
While on the train, we met another family who had a son from Guatemala. You know how we are always discussing on this forum how to approach other adoptive families? Well this lady came up to my husband and said, "he sure does look like my son." So of course my husband asked if her son was from Guatemala, and the conversation took off from there. I thought it was a great way to open the discussion! I've attached a few pictures of our great trip. Notice by the 3rd picture our younger son is wiped out. Merry Christmas! Carolyn
