Book Binding?
Is anyone else caught up in this issue of not being able to get DNA authorized due to birth records books being out to be bound. Apparently the birth records are put into books and bound, it is effecting books numbered 500-710. Our son is in book 694. How long does/can this process really take. I'm so frustrated normally DNA is done immediately with our agency but here we are 6 weeks after accepting referral and still no DNA. Are there any Senior Members here who have any information about this issue or experience with this process. We are being submitted to FC tomorrow but DNA still hasn't been authorized. I'm with a good agency and suppose to have a good attorney too but still can't get any answers here and I'm frustrated. Thanks.

Interesting...
I don't have an answer either, but I am waiting on DNA. The minute I get home, I'm going to check out my baby's records to see what her book number is. My memory seems to think it starts with a six...
Does this book binding thing have anything to do with the location of the birth, or is everyone's birth recorded in a universal book? I'm so ignorant on this one! My daughter was born in Mazatenango.

In answer to your question, iIf your baby's birth certificate is issued by the Republica de Guatemala Municipalidad of Guatemala Registro Civil, it will also pertain to you if their records are in books 500-710. Anyone else have any information?

You know I do not consider myself an expert but I have some doubt about this book binding thing? When I adopted Lilly last year (home 11/10/04) there was talk about book binding. That would be the slowest book binding project know to man!! I know that I mentioned it to my agency director and she looked at me and said she had not heard of anything like that. Perhaps one of the real top dogs around here knows something that I don't.

Good news!! Some of the books are back. My agency emailed me tonight which was so nice.
