Mommy and Me
I know we are not sopposed to say our Children look like us, BUT..........my husband has shown everyone my baby picture and told them we took Sydney to an old time photo shop in Atlanta and...........everyone has believed it. They are all so shocked it is really me. Here is my baby pic.....

And here is Sydney's !
My father is from Belize (borders Guatemala) and is Indian so I am sure that has something to do with it. We full well plan on letting Sydney know she is adopted but I can not help but feel like this was defintely God's plan for us! Linda Lou

That's amazing! For the record, I don't think there is anything bad about being complemented that your child looks like you... and if it's true, it's true, can't change it. It doesn't mean you'll love her less if that changes, it's just an observation. For those people who want to pretend their child wasn't adopted, that's a very different thing, (not saying you are like this!) That would be sad all the way around... but this is cute! It's good to have fun with this, too, like your dh did.

Thanks Julie, I agree with you totally. I am so smitten with this little baby it would not matter to me one way or the other who or what she would look like, but boy, as I said before, what are the chances?

What a pretty face!
People also think Lia's my bio baby because she looks like me, too. I think it's kinda cool! Sometimes I tell people she's adopted from Guatemala just because I'm so proud of her heritage and I also want to share the joy of International Adoption with others. But sometimes I don't say anything and let them assume.
