birth certificate, guatemala city
Hi everyone,
I am asking for a friend of mine. Her baby was born in the city, is it true that it takes longer to get birth certificates?? do you know how long? could you give an idea on timeframe from OUT of PGN to pick up trip for baby born in the city? thank you so much!

Yes, unfortunately it takes longer - how much varies greatly. You can see by my timeline below that from PGN out to pickup was over a month and that was a pretty good timeframe. Some people wait as long as 2 mos. maybe even more just to get the Guatemala City birth certificate.

Sad but true it does take longer to get a GCBC than from other areas. I don't know for sure but you can check the PINK list to see exactly how long but I don't think there are many under 30 days.

I really think it varies. We exited PGN on Oct.27th and got our Guatemala City bith cert. early this week. Hope yours is speedy.
