Prayer Chain-Tuesday 11/08
VERSE: Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. -- 2 Corinthians 9:7
THOUGHT: God is working in us to conform our character and will to be like his own. God is a giver. God finds delight in generously blessing us. Now he asks us to do the same. Giving is not some arbitrary task given us to support our churches and ministries; no, giving is part of our character transformation to become more like God. It may be one of the truest ways we have placed our allegiance, dependence, and priorities in the gracious work of God. PRAYER: Father, forgive me for the times I have been miserly with the abundance you have shared with me. Make me a conduit of blessings. I know that all I have is yours. Please help me use it as you would. In Jesus' name. Amen. PRAISES- Lisaf1-got pink! beachdreams- PREAPPROVAL! (dj29again) very quick trip from PGN to Pink (two weeks altogether). We are so grateful...we travel next week. My husband and I are traveling separately and it looks like he may need to go to the embassey appointment alone with the baby. I'll show up later that afternoon. We are so thrilled to finally be bringing our little Matéa (Gift from God) home....Praise God... (ballerinagirl)- we at last have a breakthrough after 1 full year in the process since referral and 17 months since the actual application! Our attorney submitted our paperwork to the Embassy today for pink. Our senator was told that the pink slip would be issued on 11/9/05 unless there were any other concerns with our I-171h but I checked and it is still valid. Thanks to all of you who have prayed for us weekly and daily throughout this ridiculously long process. We appreciate all of the prayers, advice, etc. that we received on this forum. It has been a Godsend to have so many others out there who could answer questions or offer support throughout all of this. We are planning to fly out on our son's 3rd birthday on Monday, Nov. 14th. (Amen)- got referral! (Yelena)-got referral! Suzanne(lockharts) -received an update last week! the magistrate with Superior Tribunal finished her review & determined everything to be satisfactory, and notices of her resolution were sent to all involved parties the week before this last week. She said that Superior Tribunal has to wait until they receive the written confirmation back from each party that they have received the resolution (ie: waiting on PGN), and once that is received, the file can be sent back to the judge in Esquintla in order for him to issue the certifications that are needed for the Family Court judge in Antigua Carney10- UPDATE and PRAISE! forCameron, my friend's premature son. I just want to update all of you on the baby- once again prayers have prevailed. He is doing so much well, he was 1 lb 7 oz at birth in Sept. and now he is 3 lb 5oz! Over Double the size!!! he is off the ventilator and now on a CPAP. He is very close to just a nasal canula. I just want to say thank you for all the prayers for little Cameron and everyone else on the list! Mildredjohn- PREAPPROVAL! REQUESTS- Suzanne (lockharts)- Please pray harder than ever that God will place mercy and speed in the hearts of those involved. Please pray that Memo will be home for the holiday season. motherof five- We are somewhere over 130 days in PGN -pray for continued perserverance. jnancynancy-traveling this week for visit Carolyn(wvamom)-that my husband and I will both be able to discern God's will about pursuing a future adoption Brina(brinawynne)- for my parents continued healing-My mother has rehab 3 days a week and my dad 2 days a week. It will be tough over the next several months, Bbialowicz(Barb) that our Embassy appointment for Tuesday Nov 8th goes well (dj29again)-praying for safe travel on 11/11 to pick-up! I also pray the baby adjusts very well with my husband for the first day without me. He is excellent with her but it has been two months since they have seen eachother. . We also pray that our kids at home are safe and well taken care of. peach45gardenin-that they will do DNA this week. Jenny (Babybri) - we are in a PGN investigation. I am just so frustrated! We have been in PGN for 12 weeks with 2 kickouts Mildred-(mildredjohn)- short stay in PGN! and María José's safety and health. For a safe trip to Puerto Rica this week for a wedding. Julie(babytaffah)- that we get our non-GC BC today, as promised when they went to pick it up this past Monday. Let the Embassy pick up and let our papers be submitted for PINK on Monday so my little Kenza can come home!!!!!! Martha Ford- We have been in PGN for over 3 months now. We got one rejection for a document that needed to be re-translated, we got kicked out again for a letter we needed from the Civil Registry regarding an error an our son's original birth certificate. According the the PGN attorney the letter was all they needed to approve our case. We were even told this by his supervisor. We finally got the letter and tried to submit the case back to PGN, but were told that the letter didn't have the right wording. So, we got that fixed and how now been in PGN again for round 3 for over 2 weeks and no news. We found out that our PGN attorney is 75 years old and has been w/ the PGN the longest. I am starting to think that he is anti-adoption because we have heard that all of his cases have multiple rejections. I think everyone is scared of him and that is why he gets to do what he wants to. (coachmom) -.. For my friend Peggy with brain cancer..she is not expected to live past the spring Lynn (Dixiemom)- nephew- Daryoush (Nathan) fighting cancer Colleen (caltaylor)- pray from my son's birthmother. Rickyloca1999- that we get out of family court and have preapproval next week. We are going into our 8th week waiting to exit family court and the 9th week waiting since DNA being done. candkss. Please pray for us-waiting on homestudy to be completed ( I am excited and nervous) and our finances. KKR213- that DNA will get scheduled soon! Jenbell-that DNA will get scheduled soon melgrant-speedy BC’s and pink taxdayo4- hope to hear soon that they are home forever. annaguat-UPDATE- Our beloved grandmother died a little over a week ago. Wendi (myelijah) - DNA done and waiting for preapproval Leigh (emmasmom)- Also, we were told last night that the GC CR told our facilitator our GCBC would be ready on Nov. 16th. My caseworker told me not to get my hopes up that we would actually have it on the 16th, because it could wind up not being ready on that day. Please pray for me and my emotions. Shellysarita- that Isabel gains weight as it doesn't seem she has gained any in her first 2 months of life kaceysmama-.that whatever is the cause of the serious standstill in PGN gets rectified as quickly as it arrived. I can't begin to think of what the issue could be. Perhaps recovery issues with personnel that may have been affected by the hurricane?!?...Whatever the cause, I pray that all will fall into place and those eagerly waiting exit will have their precious children home in time for the holidays. ...that the folks at the US Embassy receive whatever additional resources/manpower they so desperately need to assist us in bringing our children home, as soon as possible. Lord, please watch over our children and see that they are safe and guide us waiting parents through this period of uncertainty. Waiting is very difficult, but not knowing is much worse. Please Lord, help us to be still and know that You are God! Last edited by coachmom : 11-08-2005 at 07:18 AM. |
