Question about job change
My DH is considering a job change right now. We have our dossier completed and are waiting on a referral. I was wondering if anyone has done this and what it involved for the process!

My dh changed jobs in the midddle of the process and the agency said we didn't have to do anything as long as the salary was close or more. Good Luck, Ali

That is good to hear b/c we are in the same situation. In our case, however, I may be able to become a stay at home mom. Do you think that will make a diff. if overall income is about the same?

If your dossier is done, then you don't have to do anything. The only way it could become an issue is if for some reason PGN finds an issue with the old employer letter and then notices it came from a different company.
In addition, on the U.S. end, IF you don't go to visit before the adoption is final then you will need to provide the Embassy with up-to-date proof of income, where they could find the difference as well. You could ask your homestudy what to do but my recommendation would just not to rock the boat. I had a job change in the middle of ours and had no issues. Kevin

I went through the same thing. If he changes jobs after you have your referral, do nothing. If he changes before referral, you need to update your homestudy.

I changed jobs before my referral. I just had to have my homestudy ammended and also get a new letter of employment from my new employer. It was pretty easy.
