Adoption ornament at Hallmark
I just bought the adoption ornament for 2005 at Hallmark. On the back it says:
Created by Caring Related by Sharing The Love That We Prize Our Family Ties I think it was $12.95 and it's with the ornaments in the Family section. I had to ask where it was because I didn't see it at first. The proceeds go to the Dave Thomas Foundation. It's about three inches in diameter - a really nice size and weight.

I stopped at Hallmark today. They didn't have one, and there wasn't one in the catalog. They were not sure there was one this year. I'm glad to see you got one! Maybe it's just a little early yet for them to be in all the stores.

I think they just put them out in my store because the first person didn't know about them but the other staff person overheard me and pointed them right out. It looked like I got the first one.

THey also have a Baby's First Christmas ornament in spanish. It has a cradle and it comes in pink or blue. I'm going to pick mine up tomorrow.

I bought the Adoption Ornament last year too. I think they have a new one every year. Last year's was a brown teddy bear.

I have one for each of the 2 years that my son has been home. They're always very cute and quite special. There is usually a card in the box to record things that are special abou this Christmas. They are usually in stores in mod-November. This seems early. I'll need to stop by this weekend to get mine. Stores don't seem to order in enough of them and they sell quickly. I think they underestimate the 'adoption' world.
