New to Guatemalan Adoption
Hi All !
We've been lurking around the various forums for some time and thought we'd introduce ourselves. We've decided on adopting from Guatemala. It is our first experience. We are interested in any information and advice that you can provide regarding independent adoption. If you adopted via this route, we would like to hear about your experiences. I just wanted to say, welcome to the Forum!! Sorry I can't help you with the independant adoption info. Just wanted to wish you luck and congratulate you on your choice to adopt from Guatemala!

congratulations on your decision to adopt and from the country of guatemala.
get plenty of rest, pray a lot, be flexible, have tissues on hand, have access to a phone at al times, have a golf cart handy to bring you back and forth to the mailbox as you check it constantly, make sure your computer is up and running as not to miss any emails, be prepared to make new friends, to be encouraged, to be frustrated, and be prepared for the most worthwhile journey you'll ever make! may God bless you as you embark on your journey! it's great. may it be a short and sweet process for you! welcome! laura jean
