Agency Choice for Guat. adoption
My husband and I are interested in these 3 agnecies:
Palmetto Hope For This Child HAPS We are interested in adopting a baby girl, and want a ethical, efficient agency. We are not in a "rush" to adopt, but we don't want some drawn out process over 2 years. We are in the NYC area, is it important to work with an agency that is more local? Thanks for any input!

You will need a local agency for your home study, but your placement agency can be anywhere. The important thing is to find someone you feel comfortable with and who has lots of great references from many different sources!

I PMed you as well. We used an out of state agency for our placement and it was no big deal. The placement agency can usually recomend an HS agency in your area

I PM'd you too. Our agency was not local at all - out of state - and it made no difference. Our HS agency was about an hour and a half away also, and it was fine.
