This waiting game is so hard. Our DNA was authorized on 10/04 and our credit card was charged right away. We still have not heard when its scheduled for but do know that our attorney plans to try and schedule the FC interview the same day. Our file has been in FC for a month now so I assuming if the FC interview gets done it shouldn't take to long to exit FC. Does anyone know how long it takes DNA to get scheduled after it is authorized? Our son is from Escuintla. Does anyone know how far this is from Guatemala City? We are still waiting to plan our visit until we have a date for DNA testing.

I'm sorry I don't know where Escuintla is. However I can tell you that waiting to have the DNA done was the longest part of our adoption so far. (we just got the BC this week and now we are waiting for pink) It took over 4 months to get the DNA done for our baby. We were told that they were waiting for a copy of the birth mom's BC and only the mayor of the town could issue it. We were charged for the DNA in March and finally in July it was completed.

Yikes, kaden....I'm hoping we don't have that long of a wait! I'm in the same spot, Jennifer. Our authorization was 9/9 and our DNA was supposed to have been done on 9/26. We still haven't heard anything. I contacted my agency, and they are going to contact LabCorp on Monday if we still haven't heard from them. Some of the DNA results are back in a week....I'm not sure what it means if they're not....just praying for the best.

I am praying our test is already scheduled. The agency just did not get an update from our attorney this week so maybe we will get the date when they get the update next week. We need the date so we can book our visit trip.
