I know there is a shuttle that runs from the airport to the Westin hotel. I was wondering if I need to give hotel my flight number to pick me up. My mother is travelling w/me and she called and they said they run the shuttle every 30 minutes.

Does anyone know about this?

I think I gave them my flight number to be sure the shuttle was there. I also think that it does run every 30 minutes. Both times I did not have to wait long, but be careful because if you go outside to look for it, they sometimes won't let you back in (and then you can't use the phone at the desk). My husband went out to check if it was there and left me with all of the luggage - they guy at the door didn't want to let him back in, but luckily when they saw the predicament I was in, they let him come back in to help me.
So, I would peek out and see if you see it, if not, I would call and see if it is on its way. (just use the phone at the Westin desk)

You can give it to them if you'd like, but I wouldn't think it would make much difference. They do run every 30 minutes, but ...... that's mostly TO the airport for the morning and early afternoon flights. Late in the afternoon/evening/night they're not always so on top of it. The good news is that right in the airport -- immediately after you pick up your luggage, and well before you would hit the streets -- there is an area where the major hotels have their own desks, with telephone connections that go right to the front desk of the hotel (no coins needed or anything). So you can call them from the airport, tell them you're waiting, and they'll let you know if the shuttle is on its way and, if not, they'll send it.

Yep. If you give them the flight number someone will be there holding a sign that says Westin. Otherwise it does run every 30-40 minutes.

We did not contact the Westin on our first visit. We were out there trying to find the shuttle, and it was a huge crowd. The second time we contacted them and it was so so so so much better and easier!! They stood there with a sign that had our name on it and Westin. It was wonderful. NO waiting, no crowds, and no one asking for money or trying to carry your bags for you. Call ahead! Make it an easy arrival.

I never contacted the Westin, but my travel agent did! When we arrived at the airport, the shuttle was outside waiting for us. The Westin Shuttle says: Holiday Inn/Westin. The Westin desk inside the airport also says "Holiday Inn" in big ole green letters.
