I can't take any more lies!!!
Please help! I am so upset! My agency just called and told me not to travel on Saturday because there is a holdup with her Passport. I was told we already had passport and was submitted for Pink. Now because of the new rule of having an appointment which my agency says they didn't know about until this afternoon it will be another week before I will even be submitted for Pink. I can't take anymore! I spent all day packing for her and getting everything ready to go get my little girl and now I can't go. I don't know what to do. My husband is away on business so he isn't even here. Help please.

Man, I am so sorry. Can you just go, or are you limited on the time you can be away? It might be interesting to see what happens if you say, sorry, I'll be there tomorrow and I would like to go with the atty/facilitator to get the passport.
Good luck whatever happens and hang in there,

I am so sorry you are going through this. I am surprised that your agency just learned about the new Pink regulations today...are they not keeping up or what??? I pray this all gets resolved for you very soon so you can go pickup your babygirl!
Sincerely, Lori

I finally got ahold of hubby. He wants me to go without him and he will come later. He knows how much I want her in my arms forever. I can't stop crying long enough to think straight. Does anyone know how long it for an appt for passport?

Oh boy, that's a tough one. I don't blame you for being upset. It's hard to believe that an agency in the business of Guatemalan adoptions didn't know about the new procedures. For your own sanity, you might try not to let it get you down (I know, easier said than done) and just look forward to having a few extra days to get even more ready for her!
Our agency told us that no one can predict right now how long things are going to take at the Embassy and apparently things are in such a state of upheaval there that all you can do is hope and pray things settle down for them soon so they can get on with it! Let us know how it goes. We're pulling for you!

You poor thing, to have your expectatiosn set, then dashed. I'd be inclined to travel now, too, and wait it out (if I didn't have an older child in school, of course :-)

I don't post often, but I just want you to know that I,too, am so sorry for your pain!!!!!!!!!! When I continue to read about these incompetent, uncaring agencies, I just want to scream!!!!!!! I don't know why these people are allowed to continue in this business.......and I mean "business" in every sense of the word. These horrible agencies treat adoptive parents and the precious children as if they are just "commodities".......just another way to make a buck and they don't give a crap who they lie to or hurt! I wish there were someone they had to answer to.........some way of making them accountable for all the sh%% they pull!!!!!
Pardon me for sounding so angry. I've been home with my 2nd daughter for a year and a half and I'm STILL ticked off at my facilitator for all the crap she pulled and for making us wait for 16 months!!!!!!!! If there are any "newbies" reading this................it is a great reminder to THOROUGHLY CHECK OUT your agency or facilitator BEFORE you start the process!!!!!!!!!! Best wishes to you!!!!!!!!!11 "annelisa"

((((HUGS)))) I'm so sorry to hear this. I can't believe they didn't know about the new pink procedure when it's been in place for a week and a half. It seems like as an agency they should be on top of that. We all knew about it a week before it went into place. I'm glad your husband is supportive and I hope you will still be able to travel soon. Please hang in there and try to take care of yourself. This will be over soon.

I am so sorry. If you can go and stay, I say go and be with your little one. Hang in there! I know that a week seems like forever (I've been there!) but you will have her home soon, and it will all be behind you.
