Outraged at agency cohorts

Here I was thinking that this was a supportive environment where we are free to ask questions without fear of being ´tattled´on. I didn´t think that by asking a question, simply saying that I was receiving ´conflicting info´from my agency would be promptly reported to my agency directors!! Did I verbally bash my agency? NO. I am dismayed by the actions of you who felt the need to call and ´report´this. Luckily I have a good enough rapport with my agency that I was able to have a candid discussion with them and put this to rest.

Kim, I hate to see you sign off for good, but this would make me VERY angry too. After all, this is a place for us to talk to people who truly understand and we shouldn't have to tiptoe around in fear that we'll be "reported". I'm sorry you've had a bad expierience. If you just need someone to VENT to, pm me and I'll send you my email address. And I'm glad you were able to have a good discussion with your agency, hopefully you were able to get things straightened out.

Ugh, this is a place where we should all be able to vent/discuss/whine etc without fearing someone "telling" on us. I'm sorry this happened to you but I'm glad that you had a good discussion with your agency. Please remember that 99% of the people here are wonderful....don't let that 1% chase you away!

That is disgusting. However our agency read this forum and that is how they found out everything some of us said.

I agree. I think it's appalling that people would have nothing better to do than to spy and troll and tattle. By the same token, it is equally disgusting that an agency would request that people spy. If they didn't "hire" the spies, why would they even listen to such garbage?

I started a thread about 6 months ago titled "to the spies", because someone was calling my agency and reporting everything I said, and the information wasn't even accurate. Some people had the nerve to respond to me and say it's a public forum, (which I agree), and that they tell their agency their user name so they can read all their posts. What a joke. They must think they get brownie points for that! I didn't quit the forum and neither should you. Just because there are a few annoying people, their are too many good ones to leave behind. I'm sorry that happened to you too.

Can you be sure it wasn't your agency? I mean, how would you know? I have heard that they "troll" forums, boards, list serves. Anywhere you may post, they may be watching! It's terrible that you can't even post without wondering if they know who you are, especially if you're specific with info.

Welcome to my world! It has happened to me more than once with the same agency. That's why I come here instead of the agency listserve, which is nothing more than a cheering squad for the agency. You should be allowed to ask any question that you want and get support. I'm surprised you weren't reported to your homestudy agency like I was.

I mean, you can ask the agency the passport question or post the same question here, or both for that matter. Why would anybody find that to be something to run to the agency about? It's a shame that someone thought it necessary to do this, but I'm glad you could talk to them directly - that's the best way to clear things up. You can be P.O'd but that would really be a shame for you to stop posting here.
