Has anyone used the Delta adoption rate - booked tickets ahead and then had to change them? Is there a fee to change the tickets? I have a reservation, based on a "best guess" -- the customer service rep was not exactly clear on what would happen if we need to change our flights.....I am not going to book anything until I figure it out - but was wondering if anyone knew.

With the new Embassy appointments it almost forces you to book last minute, expensive tickets - if anyone has ideas - please share via PM

Can anyone tell me what/how you get an "adoption rate" from an airline? Just call and ask or what?

It depends on the airline - you call and ask - for Delta they need adoption agency info and copy of I171h, but I don't know what the deal is after that.

When I went in Feb., The difference between the adoption rate with Delta and the ticket I was pricing with Contential was $100 more. The agent said that would have been the fee if I had to change my tickets with the Contential.

I have just changed my flight plans with Delta and the adoption rate for the sixth or seventh time. There is no charge for changes. When you first book you must go to an airport, show your I-171 and something on your agency's letterhead, and pick up your tickets. After that all changes are done via phone and your tickets are sent via e-mail. It has saved me a bundle!
