I poured hot water from the coffee maker into the bottles and the nipples and that seemed to do the trick.

I heard there was a bottle sterilizer in the family room. I never made it there but, I read somewhere that if you boiled the bottles before you left and washed them at the hotel and let them dry completely they would be fine. The water at the hotel is filtered and clean.

you can wash & sterilize them at home and they should be fine with regular washing.
or you could try taking a "disposable system" like with the bags etc.

the coffee pot water is also a great idea. i alternated between just hot hot water and soap and letting the nipples sit in a cup of water from the coffee pot.

dont worry really. do what you CAN and then move on.
it will be okay regardless of what you choose and/or are able to do.

your going to have a great time taking care of your little one!

We brought bottle brushes and dish washing soap and just used the water from the bathroom sink. We made sure that the bottle was completely dry before we made our son's bottles. We were told that the water was filtered at the Marriott. Our son was fine and had no problems.

I took the playtex nursers with disposable liners and took a small squirt bottle of dishsoap and white vinegar to wash and sterilize the nipples.

Thanks everyone. I do plan on using the Playtex disposables, so I will just take dish detergent for the nipples.

Just a reminder from a past post which is true, water put thru a coffee maker is not the same as boiling water as it does not get to a high enough temp. to kill the germs so using the water in the coffee maker does not sterilize.

I sterilized the bottles at home and used antibacterial diswasing detergent to wash them out at the hotel. I also brought a hotpot with me to boil water. Each day after cleaning the nipples i ran boiling water over them. This worked out great. My daughter had no problems.
I also boiled water in the morning and filled the bottles for the day with the water. This made it real easy to just add the formula and shake the bottle when I needed it. By the time I needed it, the bottle was as room temp and was real easy to heat letting it sit in a class of hot water. I had 7 bottles (brought 6 and FM left me 1)

I took the disposable bottles and then boiled the nipples in the coffee maker. Also, for bottled water, you can go to the grocery store right around the corner from the Marriott. They sell a 2 1/2 jug of water with a spout for around $2.00. We used that for the formula, boiling the nipples, and brushing our teeth. The concierge will also pick the bottles and nipples up to be boiled. Have a great visit!
