Just a note to share
I wrote last week to the US Embassy in GUatemala to ask about our case and today they answered us. They gave us a case number and mentioned that our pre approval should be ready shortly!
I just followed the advice of one of our forum friend who wrote her story and encourage people to write. I did it and even though we don't have our pre approval yet, we know that we have a case number and soon we are going to have it. We are leavig tomorrow to Guatemala to meet María José! we can't wait to see her and hug her. many blessings,

Congrats! I had preapproval right after I received the same email. So hopefully you will have yours soon. Maybe while you have her in your arms. Enjoy every minute with her! Sherie

We did the same thing and got a similar response, they gave us the case number and the date the DNA results were received by them and that if there are no problems we should have preapproval soon!!!
Have an amazing visit - take lots of photos to share when you get back. Safe travels!

I e-mailed the Embassy today so hopefully we will hear something soon also. Maybe we will get pre-approval at the same time,Mildred!

We emailed and got the same response as well along with our case number - they also copied our attorney on the email and have answered other questions we had in detail, which was nice.
