It's A Girl!!!!!!!!!
We are so thrilled to announce the arrival of MARIA FERNANDA Born on Aug. 21 in Coban, Alta Verapaz!!!
 We were blessed on Tue. morning to receive our referral pictures and one AMAZING video clip of our sweet baby crying and kicking. The pictures were GREAT and the video even better! I cried right along with her! For the past few months we have referred to our baby as "Maria". We didn't plan to name her this we just used the name as a fun way to talk about her and to make her real to all of us. I have been praying for many things, but one thing I have asked God for is that He would give us a clear sign that our referral is meant to be in our family. I even hinted that having any part of her name Maria would be a good sign!! You can imagine what I was feeling as I read my agency's Email title: Maria Fernanda YES! That's OUR BABY!!!!!!!!! Sunday night DH and I were at an AMY GRANT concert. It was an outdoor concert, a beautiful night and an extremely rare date for us. As I was sitting there listening to "Baby Baby" and "Lucky One" I kept thinking "I wonder if my baby is being born right NOW?" and "Wouldn't this be a great time for her to be born?" Sure enough, Maria was born at 8:35 Sunday evening! So many beautiful and amazing things have happened in the past week. We received our I171 H in only 22 days (VERY quick for here!), and now we have a daughter. We truely believe God has his hand in our adoption and we are so blessed by it. If only the rest of our journey could go so quickly! I can hardly wait to meet my sweet Maria! By the way, we will probably use Maria or Marie (my middle name) as her middle name. We have decided to wait a bit to announce her first name.

We didn't have that GCBC wait either.. just a day or two and it was all done... Good luck and I hope your process goes quickly and smoothly! Congrats! Judy
