I am soooo sorry. I know your heart is breaking. I hope that you can find peace in knowing that her mother could not part with her. But that won't ease your pain. I pray that God will help you through this. I am so sorry.

Melissa, we were in the process of adopting two toddler boys, and the agency called about ten days ago and said that one b-mom was having second thoughts. I thought that meant she was just mulling it over, but it turns out she had picked him up from foster care and the adoption was completely off. It was such a sad feeling, I was just so shocked and empty. Of course you respect birth mom's feelings as well, and pray that they both live happily ever after, but I wasn't prepared for the ache in my heart.
I didn't even post the news here becasue I kept hoping it wasn't real. I hoped that my agency would call back and say she had changed her mind and wanted to go through with the adoption. I am praying for you, and really believe that we all end up with the babies we are meant to be with. That being said, I still carry his photo in my purse, probably will for a long time. God Bless.

I'm so very, very sorry. This happened to me four times during domestic adoption. It's absolutely heartbreaking. Take time to heal and you will have another referral that will absolutely work out. Take care.

I am sending you mental hugs. I am so sorry that you lost your little doll baby. I will be thinking of you. Give yourself the permission to be sad and down for a while.
