Our trip
We went on our first mini-vacation with our son. Our best friend is being deployed soon and we wanted to make sure he met our son before he left. So we took a 5 day trip to VA Beach and here are some pictures...
Here is Alex with the little girl our friend watched. They played so well together.

Tired
After a long day of playing in the sun, sand and surf (not really the sand...I wouldn't put Alex down in the sand) the kids are exhausted! Look how sweet they are together...
I'd like to mention that he is 2 months younger then her...look at how much bigger he is!!!

We drive 12 hours to get to the beach...
and we wind up in the pool. So...we decide its too much work to go back to the beach. We get all of our stuff unpacked and lug it over to the pool. Everybody jumped in and I stood outside blowing up this stupid float. I'm just about to jump into the pool when the lifeguard calls for a 15 minute break. Figures! So I wait. For some reason you are allowed in the kiddie pool while the guard is on break so I jumped in there for a quick swim with Alex. Don't you know, 15 minute break is just about up and there is a big BIG crash of thunder. Pfft! I didn't get to go in the big pool
 Here we are enjoying the kiddie pool.

The one of the 2 babies sleeping...how on earth did you get them both to konk out and share a space!? GENIUS!!! LOL!! Sounds like you had a good time...wish we'd have known you'd be in VA....we might have met up somehow!!! Jen and Addison, who's never seen the ocean yet, but might before this warm weather ends!

Great pictures!! Doesn't it figure about swimming/the pool?! And it is alot of work going to the beach with a baby
