We are also having trouble deciding on a name! After two boys, you'd think we'd have plenty of girls' names. For now, we call her Baby Sister. Our younger son suggested Julianna, which is what we're leaning toward - today. Check back tomorrow, and it may be a different story.

We've always felt we needed to meet our children before nailing down the name, even our birth children. Tho that didn't stop me from entertaining all sorts of ideas for names. My husband always accused me of getting him sold on a name...only to change my mind later. Went armed with favorite choices to hospital three times and to meet four of our children through adoption. We finalize on our ten yr old daughter in a month, and I'm still uncertain about her middle name. We changed her first name, but wanting to use a version of her given name for middle name. The name she went by at the orphanage was not her given name...and I'm not found of it. She claimed her new first name quickly, but I want her middle name to be significant later in her life. Can't decide if the name she remembers or the name her birthmother chose would be most significant for her. They are very similar, so can't use both.

Me too

I completely am having a hard time deciding except for her first name, Sophia. I can't seem to figure out the rest and am not in love with either of her birth names. I am considering her bmom's middle name which is Lisbeth but am leaning towards using 3 names.

This week, it is Sophia Harper Lisbeth. (Just like Harper, not a family name - I don't have many cute family names to choose from)

Good luck! Everybody keeps asking and I just keep brushing it off... hopefully she will have a complete name when she gets to come home!

Sarah

hmmm...CSW - you might be onto something with Miguel. My dh's mom just passed away last year, her name was Michelle but people called her Mickey. I'm not keen on miguel as a 1st name but Cristofer Miguel/Michael might work, using Mickey as a nickname. I'll have to run that one past him to see what he thinks! thanks!

I hear you!

We have not decided either and it's really bothering me. With our first son it was so easy, his birthname was Henry and that fit him to a T. We had his middle name already picked out after our father's (Roman=Robert and Norman).

This one is named Franklin Estuardo. We just can't decide if Franklin should be his first name of middle name. So he is either Franklin Charles (after DH's grandfather) or Charles Franklin. I feel really guilty not keeping his birthname as we did for Henry. So we have decided to wait until we visit and see if he looks like a Franklin or a Charlie. We have tentatively been calling him Baby X (after his last names) but that's so impersonal. I HATE not having a name for him!
