I was just wondering if anyone had their baby's lab results looked at- at the time of referral. I tried to get a pediatrician to look at them, and they would not becuase she is not a patient. A few of our daughters test are on the high side and we have one on the low side.
I have been looking the names up (they are not in english) and trying to figure out what they mean. Anyone else have any high or low lab results? Here they are: ERITROSEDIMENTACION level is 1 RECUENTO DE LEUCOCITOS FORMULA LEUCOCITARIA level is 15, 200 Any thoughts or advice would be GREAT ![]() Melissa

If its ok, you can post them and some might know about the test levels and what they mean.

Well, I can't help you with translation of lab results (although I can tell you the report you received was WAY more detailed than the one I received at referral), but I had a similar experience with my doctor. I asked him to talk to me about Maria's (translated) labs, and he refused because she was not a patient. Perhaps that's a legal issue. However, I found a ped (a friend's minister's wife) who would talk to me about them. You can always go to an international adoption specialist. Good luck!

I would ask another Ped. I had my babies records reviewed at the time of our referral by an International Ped (which I had to pay for) and another local Ped. The local Ped did not charge me anything and she is going to be Damian's Ped when he gets home. My sisters son is a paitent there so that may be why they did nt charge me to look at Damian's records. I would just look for another Ped who would be willing to look at the tests.

Our son's pediatrician has been reviewing all of his medical updates and photos ever since we received his referral. Although she said she charges $70 for international adoption evaluations, she has never charged us -- I figure it's because she knows he's going to be a patient when he comes home.
Your agency really should have given you referrals for some of the international adoption clinics/specialists. They can easily translate the labs and interpret them for youu. If you want the name/number of one, PM me where you live and I'll send you the closest one that's on the list our agency gave us. (Which is by no means exhaustive.) Devora

Our soon-to-be pediatrician has evaluated our lab results and considered as normal part of the process of choosing a pediatrician. We faxed them ahead of time and they had them translated.
Good Luck.
