Talked to agency today and she asked if we knew anyone who was interested in a baby. They have a 3 month old boy and newborn girl, and no families waiting.

We are really thinking about taking the girl!

I said I wouldn't use this agency again, but this kind of fell in our laps. We have half of our dossier done already (long story). Looking into addendum on our homestudy. They were supposed to approve us for two anyway, but our SW was kind of a spaz!

What would all of you do?

I think you should do it...looks to me like your hearts are telling you to get give that baby girl a home.

I think you should take a step back and reflect on your agency and the reasons you thought you wouldn't use them again. We both know how painful that long PGN wait was. I would avoid another wait like that at all costs. Even IF I had positive feelings about my agency, I wouldn't use them again b/c of the long PGN wait. If we adopt again, I would make sure to use an agency that worked DIRECTLY with the attorney/attorneys not an agency that allows a facilitator to run the case. Don't know waht the situation was with your case, but it seems most long PGN waits are due to a facilitator running things.

I'm sorry I'm not more positive . I just want to give you my honest opinion.

I agree that I would think twice about this.

If you are going to adopt again, great. Get ready, choose a good agency, and then accept a referral.

There are reasons you didn't plan to use your agency again...do not forget those!

Maybe it fell in your lap for a reason!!! If you and your husband both agree to do it - go for it!!!

There is a reason why your agency has no waiting families for these children. Please think of all you have gone through with Delany's adoption and don't let your emotions take over. If you really want to adopt again, look for an agency that will make your journey less stressful. Why did you think you would never use that agency again. Sleep on it I really don't want you and your family to be stressed out again.

I am with Rosenfeld West for similar reasons-Think very carefully about this. YOu can always start the process right now as well with a new really good agency who has direct and frequent contact with their attorneys. Don't forget about how stressful this journey is and was for you-Was you agency really helpful to you?? I would think long and hard.

I know how difficult this decision is but having used a terrible agency myself I would caution you to weigh the pros and cons of using this agency again.
