Family Beds...who does it?

I don't know what we will do when Max gets home next week. Is there a bed larger than a King I wonder? That little corner on the right...that's where I sleep! r

California King is bigger.

We tried that, too, and NOBODY got any sleep! I really wanted to make it work, but alas.... my reality of motherhood didn't live up to my envisioned master plan. Oh well... we're all happier getting some zzzs.

Oh that is to sweet..

Yeah know.. we tried it with Joey when he was a baby... all he wanted to do was play. LOL! So we had to do the separate beds for our sanity.

He slept with us last night though because of a few thunderstorms that came through. He actually did quite well, he wasn't too much of a wiggle worm (and ear whisperer).

looks like our bed-although when we had just our two boys- we only had a double bed!. That was fun! I didn't get pregnant again until they decided it was time they had their own bed.. Wonder why??? Now it is just my 3 yr old in a king! but I keep telling her she needs to make room for the next one!!

Looks familiar except one less child. My husband and I go to bed alone at night and then we wake up with the whole house in our bed and anyone else that may be sleeping over .

us too

That is how we are. The girls go to their own bed but end up in ours around 3:30-4am and Makan comes to our bed around 4:30 so we have a few hours of sleep on our own. r

Our three year old daughter sleeps with us. Started when my husband was out of town for 10 weeks (and I was a nervous wreck with her asthma). We have a king sized bed and I get kicked in the ribs, back, stomach (even head) constantly. We have got to get her in her own bed before a baby joins the crew. Good luck.

We only have 2 in bed w/ us and I usually end up sleeping across the bottom of the bed My kids sleep every which direction they can. Typically, they go to sleep in their own beds. My ds joins us around midnight or so and my dd comes in around 4 or so.

What about getting one of those sleepers that butt up to the side of your bed for the new little one?

Darling picture! I'm not sure where you're going to put another body. A CA king isn't much bigger in width, just longer, so unless someone is going to sleep at the foot of the bed.

Try a co-sleeper...that might be your best bet.

if your mattress is on the floor already, you can just put another one next to it--king and then twin or double smashed up against it--that way you will all be very close.

great photo! glad to see people co-sleeping. i think it's a great thing, even though it's never worked for any of our 3 kids. oh well!

I know there are some places that will make custom beds. Then you can have it made any size you want. It might end up being pricey though.
