thought for today

I got a card in the mail and just wanted to share some of it. I am going to change it around a little so I don't plagerize.
"Nobody ever said you had to be strong every minute of every day...especially when stresses and strains start weighing on you to the point where you wonder how you can possibly bear it all. You're not supposed to-thats when God comes in.We are much-loved children of God and I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that He is watching over all of us(and our children),waiting for you to let go of some of your load and lean on Him.Just remember, you are never alone and you never will be."
This encouraged me in my wait-I hope it does yours.
Doretta

Suzanne-He does hear your prayers!!! We are all praying for you. For those of you who are troubled by what seems to be the silence of God, here are some lyrics that were sent to me by someone on this forum that really encouraged me. For we are not the only ones who sometimes experience what feels like the silence of God, but Jesus himself felt it in the garden.I am thankful that He always wants to listen to our cries!
Doretta
It's enough to drive a man crazy; it'll break a man's faith
It's enough to make him wonder if he's ever been sane
When he's bleating for comfort from Thy staff and Thy rod
And the heaven's only answer is the silence of God

It'll shake a man's timbers when he loses his heart
When he has to remember what broke him apart
This yoke may be easy, but this burden is not
When the crying fields are frozen by the silence of God

And if a man has got to listen to the voices of the mob
Who are reeling in the throes of all the happiness they've got
When they tell you all their troubles have been nailed up to that cross
Then what about the times when even followers get lost?
'Cause we all get lost sometimes...

There's a statue of Jesus on a monastery knoll
In the hills of Kentucky, all quiet and cold
And He's kneeling in the garden, as silent as a Stone
All His friends are sleeping and He's weeping all alone

And the man of all sorrows, he never forgot
What sorrow is carried by the hearts that he bought
So when the questions dissolve into the silence of God
The aching may remain, but the breaking does not
The aching may remain, but the breaking does not
In the holy, lonesome echo of the silence of God

Thank you for sharing with us Doretta. It is very touching and gives us hope! I know I have special verses posted all around my computer here that I read daily. My latest one is the one my mom gave to me right before we got our preapproval. It applies to all of us:

"Like cold water to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country." Proverbs 25:25

I have been repeating that one daily as I open up the forum and hope to see good news for all of us. Have a nice day!

Yes-Thank you for sharing- Like Suzanne- (though our situation is not nearly as dire as hers is) I feel like God has not been listening or that my prayers are not working- I know that that is terrible- but it has been a tough week - devastating at times. I hope next week will be better.
thanks for posting this.
